As a way of sampling the delights of our village guest houses and the hospitality of the host communities, this Village Ways taster weekend is a lot of fun. The walking can be tailored to your own requirements - a little and gently or a good stride out! Designed for arrival on Thursday or Friday evening and for departure on Sunday or Monday mid-day.
Your short break itinerary
IN THE BINSAR SANCTUARY
DAY 1 Arrive Khali Estate in time for dinner. You will hear the wonderful history of this magical place - tales of Gandhi-ji and Pundit Nehru.
NIGHT 1 Overnight stay at Khali Estate, double room garden bungalow
DAY 2 - NIGHT 3 After breakfast meet your guide to discuss the weekend's adventures. Take a tour of the grounds in the morning before you step out through the litch gate into the open pine forest of the Sanctuary. You will visit and stay in two of the Binsar villages and enjoy the simple comfort of the splendidly situated guest houses and the tasty, homely food prepared for you by the communities.
If you want to keep your walking to an absolute minimum, we can arrange for you to stay both nights in the same village with discovery and exploration organised for your day in the village.
Day 4 After breakfast you will walk or be transferred back to Khali in time to start your journey home by noon.
