Yoga & Karnataka village life

You stay in two wonderful, welcoming communities, one by the Indian Ocean, the other up in the hills. Your yoga teacher is Mrs Sarita Modi, who is highly qualified and has been a practitioner herself for over 35 years. She is based close to Mumbai, but is interested in rural Indian life, and while in the south you will enjoy the company of our local guides, too.

You begin by the Indian Ocean, in the secluded fishing village of Pavinakurva, shaded by coconut palms and situation by a long stretch of unspoiled sand - a truly relaxing place to unwind and soak up the warm sunshine. You then move further inland into the warm spice gardens of Karnataka to the hamlets of Hulgol, a land of spice and small farms.

Relaxation & discovery

These are wonderful places to relax and unwind, to leave behind the everyday world and discover new sights, new experiences.

Watch as the fishermen land their catch on the beach; enjoy fragrant dishes cooked with the spices grown in the villages and learn a new recipe.

These are also great places to enjoy yoga sessions, and our teacher will bring a truly Indian perspective to her work with you.
