Coordinator Pooja has sent us an update from Binsar…
“Greetings from Binsar…The Monsoon has almost gone and we are preparing ourselves for the coming season. Lots of activities have happened in the meantime.
The most note worthy was the Committee Meeting held in Supi, with representatives from all the Saryu and Pinder committees gathered together along with Mr. Dinesh Pande, Community Cooridinator, Birender Bisht , accountant, and myself, Pooja, coordinator, from Villageways. The committee was very happy that this type of meeting was organised before the start of the season so that they could share their problems or issue and resolve them together with mutual respect and understanding.
Mr. Dinesh Pande was welcomed at Supi with open hand and heart as Community Coordinator, like a family member coming home. People were so loving and respectful towards him, and as he always says “I always love to come to supi as the people over here have hearts of gems”.
Mr. Dinesh is very sensitive with the concerns of the committee members and localities, and so it was nice for people to open their hearts to him and share what they feel. Concerns that were felt by members were appreciated and listened to by Dinesh Ji, and handled very well by him. Members left the meeting with a positivity that we are working together with the well being and progress of all villages as our main concern and with good hopes for the coming year.
On the same day we organised for an Accounts and Book Keeping training session, as last season two more committees and Villages had joined Villageways (Khaljhuni, Karmi and Dhurr). All the committees were keen for this training and had asked for it during last season. Birender Bisht who looks after the Indian Villageways accounts, helped and advised with all issues relating to account and their systems.
Here i am enclosing some photos of the same day. Hope you will like it.
