Travel in India

Flights

We ask our guests to make their own arrangements for international travel to India. For Village Ways holidays in the foothills or Rajasthan, the nearest airport is Delhi. For holidays in Kerala and Karnataka we recommend Mumbai as the gateway. There is an increasing number of flights to Delhi and Mumbai, with some excellent value rates. Carriers include Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, Air India and Jet Airways. For certain holidays in the south of India we recommend flights to Kochi. Jet Airways offer a through flight to Kochi via Mumbai.

If you wish to book with a UK travel company offering inclusive flight arrangements, please contact Inntravel. Inntravel, which is committed to responsible tourism, has worked with us for several years

The visa is valid for 30 days from the date of arrival, and the cost is currently USD 60 plus fees of around USD 2.The application for an e-Tourist Visa must be made a minimum of 4 days prior to the date of arrival in India, and no more than 30 days in advance.

With your online application you must upload a copy of the front page of your passport and a photo taken within the last 6 months, of your head and shoulders against a white background.
