An evening with Village Ways & Inntravel

Royal Over-Seas League, London, 6.30-8.30pm, March 27th

For the first time, we are holding a special evening in London, a chance to meet members of the Village Ways team. We have invited participants from the Himalayas, Rajasthan, Kerala and elsewhere and we will be joined by our UK travel partners, Inntravel, to discuss life in the villages and how our small scale tourism fits with this traditional village way. The Village Ways Charitable Trust will be bringing us up-to-date with its important work, too. Above all, it is a chance to meet and chat, and we are all really looking forward to meeting guests and supporters. Our Managing Director, Manisha Pande, will be attending and will offer the formal welcome to guests.

The evening is in the India and Pakistan room at the Royal Over-Seas League, which is set close to Green Park in the heart of St James', London. There will be a short panel discussion about Village Ways, then time to relax and chat, with drinks and canapes. Entry is free, but is ticketed, with numbers strictly limited, so please act quickly to reserve your places. To get tickets, please go to

More about the event

After a welcome from Manisha Pande, the evening begins with a short panel discussion with representatives from our communities in Nepal and India, as well as Ratnamala Kapur, trustee of the VIllage Ways Charitable Trust, and Juliet Rix, the travel journalist, who has visited Village Ways communities. After this, canapes and drinks are served, with the chance to mingle and chat. The evening is scheduled to end around 8.30pm.

More about the venue

The Royal Over-Seas League is a not-for-profit private members' club, dedicated to championing international friendship and understanding throughout the Commonwealth and beyond. We are holding our event in the handsome Hall of India and Pakistan, which has original floor to ceiling wood panelled walls presented by the Indian Government in 1937. The location is ideal, on Park Place, just off St James's St and just a few minutes' walk from the tube station of Green Park.
